The Canadian Tire advantage.

Canadian Tire has been working hard lately to reinvent itself as a modern retailer, where consumers can enjoy a seamless shopping experience on their mobile device or in a physical store. A big part of that push included a refresh of Canadian Tire’s portfolio of Mastercard credit cards. Canadian Tire’s famous Money loyalty program is now digitized, and you can use the company’s cards to earn Money on everyday purchases around the world.

When you comparison shop for Canadian Tire credit cards, you’re able to find the perfect card for your personal shopping habits and overall lifestyle. Start comparing Canadian Tire credit cards today on LowestRates.ca and don’t miss out on any Canadian Tire credit card promotions and deals.

Collect Canadian Tire money faster

Canadian Tire recently has an app to complement its Mastercard portfolio. Now you can earn twice the Canadian Tire Money you normally would when you shop with any one of the store’s cards and watch them accumulate in the app. Money can be earned at Sport Chek®, Mark’s®, PartSource® and participating Canadian Tire gas bars. You’ll also be sent personalized Canadian Tire credit card offers through the app.

Get cash back

Earn up to 1.5% cash back per dollar spent on eligible purchases. This includes transactions made at grocery stores, retailers, drugstores, movie theatres and restaurants. Earn double the rewards (3%) on everything you buy at Canadian Tire, Mark’s Work Warehouse, and Canadian Tire gas bars. There’s no limit on the amount of cash back you can earn annually and your cash will be automatically applied to your account every year.

Finance your purchases through your card

When you sign up for a Canadian Tire Mastercard, you can finance purchases of $200 or more at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek and participating Mark’s Work Wearhouse stores. There’s no fee and you pay no interest. You’ll be required to pay off the balance over a series of 12 equal payments.

Pay bills with your card

You can pay recurring bills with your Mastercard and earn Canadian Tire Money at the same time. It’s also convenient to stay on top of your credit balance as you can simply make your Canadian Tire credit card payments online.

How to apply for a Canadian Tire credit card

You can easily apply for a Canadian Tire credit card online. When you complete the Canadian Tire credit card online application and pass the eligibility check for a Canadian Tire credit card, a card will be issued to you and you’ll be ready to use your new Canadian Tire credit card upon activation.

Here’s the information you’re likely to be asked to provide when you apply for a credit card online:

  • Your full legal name
  • Your current and previous addresses
  • Your annual income (gross)
  • Your employer’s name and your job title

As part of the screening process, the credit card provider will pull your credit information from a credit bureau. Applying for a new credit card triggers a hard credit check, which means your credit score will likely go down a bit.

What are the best Canadian Tire Mastercards?

Canadian Tire credit cards have great benefits and perks. Looking for a Canadian Tire credit card with good interest rates? A Canadian Tire credit card with a higher limit? We’ve got you covered.

  • Canadian Tire no annual fee credit cards
  • Canadian Tire rewards points credit cards

If you are looking for a Canadian Tire credit card with low exchange rates or a Canadian Tire low interest credit card, they currently do not offer such cards. Please note there are no Canadian Tire Visa or Amex credit cards partnerships. Check the Canadian Tire credit card site for information.

About Canadian Tire

Before becoming a national franchise, Canadian Tire, founded in 1922, began as a humble garage and tire store in Toronto. By 1968, the company had grown large enough to enter the lucrative financial services business. That arm of the business has evolved and the company now offers a variety of cards — cash back, rewards and gas cards — through its partnership with Mastercard. With almost 90% of the country’s population living within 15 minutes of a Canadian Tire store, there’s certainly plenty of opportunities to earn store points. If you’re not already a frequent Canadian Tire customer, the company is intent on changing your habits. Canadian Tire credit cards have great options for everyone. Watch this space for even more enticing offers in the future.
